Ingredients & FAQ

HERE ARE OUR MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS!

Where can we find your products?

Apart from our online shop, you can find our products in some beauty salons, on Amazon, beautyshoppingzone.com and in many pharmacies such as Jean Coutu, Brunet and Uniprix.

Can I use the Op’n Fix lipstick sealer with all of my lipsticks?

Our lipstick sealer is compatible with most lipstick of any brand. However, it is not compatible with gloss or really creamy lipstick (usually sold in a liquid form with a sponge tip).

How can I remove the lipstick sealer?

To remove the Op’n Fix from your lips, you only need to use an eye and lip bi-phase makeup remover. It is the recommended makeup remover for all makeup products considered “long-lasting”. It’s the oil in the product that will make the sealer slide right off without any excessive rubbing.

If you don’t have this type of makeup remover, you can always use coconut oil or olive oil as a last resort.

Can I apply lip gloss over the lipstick sealer?

Absolutely, but depending on the type of gloss you are applying and the ingredients it contains, we cannot guarantee the optimal hold of the sealer if you do so.

Do your products contain parabens?

No. They are paraben-free. They are also free of sulphate, phthalates and mineral oils.

What is sodium hyaluronate contained in the Op’n Plump?

Sodium hyaluronate is a sodium salt derived for hyaluronic acid. This ingredient is well known for its moisturizing and plumping actions and its small molecule penetrates more easily into the deep layers of the skin. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the skin (connective tissue) which makes its assimilation faster and its penetration easy. It retains up to 20 times his weight, in water in the epidermis, keeping it hydrated. In fact, hyaluronic acid is present in abundance in the dermis of younger skin, but its amount decreases considerably as we age. Then appears fine lines and wrinkles. For the reason, this famous ingredient can be found in many anti-aging skin care products and in our lip plumper for a long-lasting anti-aging effect.

Will the Op’n Plump lip plumper give a red tint to my lips?

Even if the lip gloss itself seems red, it will only give a healthy glow to your lips adapting itself to the natural colour of your lips.

Are your products tested on animals?

We absolutely enjoy including our little furry friends in our social media posts, however, none of our products are tested on them.

How can I optimize the hold of my lipstick?

Use a lip pencil to trace the outline. Apply the lipstick of your choice. Pinch your freshly coloured lips onto a paper tissue to remove any excess. This will prevent it from getting on your teeth and optimize uniformity. You can then apply a small amount of the Op’n Fix lipstick sealer.

HERE ARE THE MAIN INGREDIENTS USED!

Shea Butter

Shea butter is an edible substance extracted from the fruits of the shea tree, a tree that grows in the West African wooded savannahs. Its name means “life” in the Mandinka language. Shea butter is eaten in traditional cuisine or used in the chocolate industry as a substitute for cocoa butter. It is especially known for its cosmetic properties as a skin moisturizer and softener.

Mango Butter (Mangifera Indica)

Mango butter is a natural emollient and it has excellent hydration properties. This butter melts when in contact with the skin which makes it an ideal ingredient for lip balms. Very similar to cocoa butter, it is an exotic alternative and a very good source of fatty acids. This butter is traditionally used in tropical areas to soften, hydrate and restore elasticity of the skin. It also has a protective effect against UV rays.

Hyaluronic Filling Spheres® (Sodium Hyaluronate)

Hyaluronic acid is a disaccharide polymer naturally present in the body to fix and retain water in the tissues and ensure optimal hydration. With age, the body produces less and less hyaluronic acid which makes fine lines and wrinkles appear. These dehydrated hyaluronic acid microspheres therefore penetrate the surface layers of the skin and swell instantly when in contact with water (skin water). They restore volume and fill in fine lines and wrinkles, helping to recover the elasticity and firmness of the skin with its rejuvenating effect.

Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate)

Vitamin E is an important antioxidant that delays cellular aging due to oxidation, nourishes cells and strengthens capillary walls. It increases hydration and facilitates cell replacement on the skin’s surface, thereby helping to maintain elasticity and prevent fine lines and wrinkles.

Volulip (Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate (and) Sorbitan Isostearate (and) Portulaca Pilosa Extract (and) Sucrose Cocoate (and) Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38)

Volulip ™ is an active substance containing a plant extract and a naturally modified matrikine-mimetic peptide intended to swell the lips by the synthesis of hyaluronic acid. It improves the internal and superficial texture of the lips with a visible impact on the shape of the lip. It also provides an increase in the lip volume, higher hydration and smoothness, as well as an anti-aging and anti-sagging effect.

Mint (Mentha pipereta (peppermint) oil)

Mainly used for its freshness feel, it also helps to fight the undesirable effect of chapped skin thanks to its calming and softening properties.

Citrus essential oil (Citrus medica limonum (lemon) fruit oil)

Mainly recognized for its antiseptic and disinfectant properties but also its freshness and its pleasant smell. It offers natural protection on fragile lips by creating a barrier against external aggression.

Cinnamon essential oil (Cinnamomum verum (cinnamon) bark essential oil)

A spice used since ancient Egypt in cooking, cosmetics and perfumery among other things for its natural preservative power. Extracted from the bark of several tree species, this oil is antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, toning and antibacterial. It strengthens the skin’s immune defence to restore its softness and radiance. Carefully chosen for lip products because of its spicy properties which will naturally tingle for an immediate volume effect and healthy reddish colouring.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale (ginger) root extract)

Ginger is known to be used in cosmetics for its natural cleansing and exfoliating properties, which makes it an excellent ingredient for the beauty industry to help prevent skin aging and the appearance of aging signs. The ginger root contains around 40 natural antioxidants, which combines with firming and anti-aging properties. It’s also recognized for its stimulating, healing, softening, toning and anti-inflammatory properties. This superpower like spice will visibly restore the dehydrated lips and act as an anti-aging agent.
